Empowering Campus AI Literacy as a Google Student Ambassador
Reflections on organizing AI/ML workshops, introducing generative AI tools like Google Gemini to 200+ students, and fostering a collaborative developer ecosystem.

In August 2025, I was selected as a Google Student Ambassador. My mission was clear: democratize access to cutting-edge AI tools, demystify generative AI, and help engineering peers transition from passive consumers of technology to proactive developers.
Over a 6-month period, I hosted hands-on workshops centered on Google Gemini AI, prompt engineering principles, API integrations, and machine learning fundamentals for over 200 students at JB Institute of Technology.
Key Initiatives & Community Impact
Practical Demos Over Monologues: Instead of generic slide decks, each session featured live coding demonstrations—building small Python tools that consume Gemini APIs for semantic summarization and document Q&A.
AI Community Building: Created an active peer study group where students could share data science roadmaps, debug Python syntax errors, and collaborate on hackathon submissions.
Participation Growth: Grew active attendance by 3x over 4 months through targeted peer outreach and practical, hands-on lab sessions.
Being a Google Student Ambassador strengthened my technical communication, event leadership, and solidified my conviction that true technical growth happens in collaborative communities.
